Security Guard - Manufacturing Facility

Paladin Security is Hiring a Security Guard! Location: Hamilton, ON Employment Type: Part-Time Wage: $20.60/hour About the Role We are seeking a professional Security Guard to join our team at a manufacturing facility in Waterdown. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of property, assets, staff, and visitors while maintaining a strong security presence. The ideal candidate will be proactive, reliable, and able to respond quickly to incidents and emergencies. Responsibilities Provide proactive and reactive patrols (interior and exterior). Respond to incidents, alarms, and coded emergencies efficiently. Monitor CCTV, access control, and other security systems. Perform access control for staff, contractors, and visitors. Write accurate incident and daily activity reports. Assist visitors, staff, or individuals in crisis, including providing first aid when needed. Handle Lost & Found and ensure key/radio audits are maintained. Encourage a safe and supportive environment for all. Frequently inspect facilities for safety risks, hazards, or damages. Work independently or as part of a team while maintaining professionalism. Must-Have Criteria Proficiency in computer literacy Ability to obtain Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CPG) clearance (includes police information check, credit check, residency requirements, and references) Physically fit: able to sit, stand, walk, climb stairs, and push a minimum of 25 lbs Valid Ontario Security Guard License Valid First Aid & CPR C (WSIB-approved) Legally authorized to work in Canada Nice-to-Have (Optional) Fluent in English (oral and written) Minimum 1 year of experience in a security role Customer service experience Paid Time Off Health Care, Dental Overtime Pay On-the-Job Training Growth Opportunities
