Role: Sales Assistant Location: Selfridges, Oxford Street, London, UK Contract: Part-time/6 Month FTC Hours: Various contracts (Trading Hours 10am - 10pm Mon to Sat and 11.30 - 5.30pm Sunday) Salary: Real Living Wage We have an exciting opportunity available to join Rough Trade as a Sales Assistant at our Selfridges pop up on Oxford Street. As a Sales Assistant at Rough Trade, Selfridges, you will play a central role in the store’s success through helping to deliver a truly inspiring in-store experience to our customers. The successful candidate will be passionate and knowledgeable about music across a classic back catalogue, as well as contemporary and new acts, and will have a working knowledge of a wide range of specialist genres. Your duties will include: Customer service Till operation Stock processing and replenishment Merchandising The ideal candidate will possess the following skills: Passionate about discovering and recommending exciting new music. Fantastic customer service. Attention to detail. Previous experience working in a fast-paced retail environment is preferred. Ability to multitask. Fast learner. Candidates must be available to work a varied shift pattern including evenings, weekends and public holidays and be available to work shifts across the December peak period. Additional availability across busy periods would be preferable. This role is part-time with the opportunity for additional hours above contract should the demands of the business allow. Candidates are expected to work a varied shift pattern including evenings, late nights, weekends and public holidays to ensure that the needs of the business are met.
