OUR VALUES: Passionate – Real – Inspiring – Dynamic - Excellent JOB PURPOSE: To support the delivery of the sales and revenue budget by completing targeted sales and marketing activities such as direct selling, promotions and digital campaigns. ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: * Research competitor properties in order to obtain market intelligence and an understanding of business trends and competitor activity. * Support the hotel sales team with researching potential new accounts, conducting telesales and information gathering calls and recording information or outcomes in Salesforce CRM system (CRM = client relationship management). * Secure and contract new and repeat business for all areas of the business, across all market segments. * Identify and target local leisure attractions to develop mutually beneficial affiliations and partnerships. * Work with the hotel Director of Sales & Marketing and key hotel team members to strengthen current relationships within the local community. * Represent the hotel at seminars, business events and exhibitions to maximize networking opportunities to raise the profile/awareness of the hotel. * Support the hotel director of sales and Valor’s marketing team to ensure effective data capture and database management. BECOME FAMILIAR WITH BRAND SALES INITIATIVES AND TOOLS. Work with the Director of Sales & Marketing to ensure a sales culture is embedded throughout the hotel, using the Valor and Hilton sales initiatives / tools and gaining buy-in from the team. Collate and submit results following any marketing activity, sales blitzes, focus weeks and ongoing activity (e.g. digital reports, Christmas reports). Assist in the implementation of hotel marketing campaigns and support with the production of sales collateral. Update the hotel’s online presence, including the brand website and all third party sites. MANAGE AND IMPLEMENT THE HOTEL’S LOCAL SOCIAL MEDIA STRATEGY AND ACTIVITY. Support with responding to customer reviews and questions on social media and review sites. Prepare and complete other audits, reports and presentations as required. Keep yourself informed of the hotel’s commercial targets. Establish and build relationships with hotel departments and marketing partners. Attend and actively participate in partner and hotel meetings as appropriate. Attend internal and external training courses when required. Perform other tasks at the level of the role as directed by your line manager. DELIVERABLES Performance will be monitored using a set of quarterly key performance indicators (KPI’s) which will be set with your line manager. These KPI’s will be linked to tasks set to deliver the sales and marketing strategy. Flexibility to support and work any hours and days in order to meet deadlines. DESIRED SKILLS AND EDUCATION: Education: College education (A level, BTEC or equivalent). Experience: Work experience is not essential. However, an interest in the hospitality sector / sales / marketing is preferred. Systems knowledge: An understanding of the use of technology, particularly Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook) and Teams / Zoom for virtual selling and meetings, Social Media and Digital Marketing Channels (i.e. Facebook, Instagram) Skills and abilities: Outgoing personality, highly motivated, enthusiastic and good team player with a creative flare. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Able to remain focused at all times and prioritize, work under pressure and meet deadlines.
