RQ09458 - Business Analyst - Senior

<\/p>

• The Office of the Public Guardian and Trustee (OPGT) requires a Senior Business Analysts to assist with report development for the new data warehouse\/lakehouse and associated data migration activities.<\/span>

  Assignment Deliverables<\/span><\/b>
  <\/p>

  As a member of the OPGT modernization data analytics and reporting team, you will be responsible to build and deliver modernized reports from the new data warehouse\/lakehouse. A high\-level list of deliverables follows:<\/span>
  <\/p>

  • Lead and conduct business and system analysis in respect to building the golden layer of the data lakehouse and modernized reports in PowerBI..<\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Lead the effort into defining the reporting MVP; document legacy reports in scope of MVP; conduct gap analysis and provide recommendations.<\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Document report requirements in user stories in DevOps. Conduct analysis at varying levels of detail, appropriate to the project and phases of project, aligning with OPS standards.<\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Liaise between Business Areas and the data migration and reporting team, to clarify business requirements and translate them into system and reporting requirements.<\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Conduct business modeling; use case modeling; conceptual and logical data modeling; process and data flow modeling; use case surveys; business rules definition and non\-functional requirements definitions for assigned projects, including report requirements, screen specifications, business rules, data migration requirements, etc.  <\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Produce\/update documentation which will allow future support of the implemented solutions.<\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Assist with identifying and resolving data quality issues, defining test cases, performing data reconciliation, and addressing any issues or discrepancies that arise during the testing phase; developing KPIs to report on the progress, completeness and quality of the reporting and data migration effort.<\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Ongoing Support: provide post\-migration support, analyze and address data\-related issues or questions; help with optimizing data management processes in the new environment.<\/span>

    • 10+ years of experience leading and conducting business and system analysis to assess client’s <\/span>business problems\/opportunities and document the business\/system requirements in such a way that I&IT solutions can be designed. 
      <\/span><\/li>
    • Proven experience in both agile and waterfall project management methodologies.
      <\/span><\/li>
    • Proven experience in conducting business and system analysis in respect to building data marts\/data warehouses\/data lakehouse or Business Intelligence\/Data Analytics and Reporting solutions.
      <\/span><\/li>
    • Demonstrated experience working as a business analyst in large\/complex data migration projects.
      <\/span><\/li>
    • Demonstrated experience with writing user stories and using tools such as DevOps.<\/span>

      • Understanding of concepts around ETL, data quality, data cleaning, data issues’ handling.<\/span>
        <\/li>
      • Experience in conducting business and system analysis for a Dynamics 365 CE and\/or F&O solution or other CRM\/ERP solutions.<\/span>
        <\/li>
      • Experience creating use cases, test plans, test cases, test scripts ideally around reporting and\/or data migration.<\/span>
        <\/li>
      • Experience with defect management processes, defect identification, logging, tracking, and resolution.<\/span>
        <\/li>
      • Familiarity with industry\-standard quality assurance practices, such as ISO standards, CMMI, or Agile methodologies<\/span>
        <\/li>
      • Experience consulting and coordinating between Business Areas and the IT Development and Testing teams to clarify business requirements and translating them into system requirements.<\/span>
        <\/li>
      • Critical thinking, analytical and problem\-solving skills; proven gap analysis experience<\/span>
