RQ00469 - Business Architect - Senior

Must haves:
<\/p>

• Minimum 10 years of experience in developing and implementing operating models within complex digital environments (including in public health\/government industries).
  <\/span><\/li>
• Experience in the health care sector and public service, with existing positive relationships an asset
  <\/span><\/li>
• Experience working across cross\-functional teams—including clinical, product, and development stakeholders.       
  <\/span><\/li> <\/ul>

  Responsibilities:
  <\/p>

  • Analyzes government information pertinent to business architecture, consults with appropriate government contacts on specific business architecture elements and conducts focus group workshops.
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Develops and maintains business capabilities of the enterprise in line with the corporate strategy as well as contributing to the business strategy and plans.
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Develops\/revises business architecture artefacts as part of the Enterprise Information Architecture (EIA) Federated Framework and ensures that these are vertically integrated.
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Models business at enterprise and\/or core business levels.
    <\/span><\/li> <\/ul>

    This also includes:
    <\/p>

    • Design of capability models and related architectural solutions of business tasks, mapping capability functionality to the internal and external resources,
      <\/span><\/li>
    • Developing business transformation plans jointly with senior business management,
      <\/span><\/li>
    • Handling business solutions to the delivery and operational business functions of the company
      <\/span><\/li>
    • Developing and maintaining architectural governance and controls over implementation
      <\/span><\/li>
    • For each step of the business transformation plan, business architects contribute in development of a blueprint of the enterprise in order to promote a common understanding of the organization and alignment of strategic objectives with tactical demands
      <\/span><\/li> <\/ul>

      Desired Skills:
      <\/p>

      • Experience in developing enterprise architecture deliverables (e.g. models) based on Ontario Government Enterprise Architecture processes and practice
        <\/span><\/li>
      • Knowledge and understanding of Information Management principles, concepts, policies and practices
        <\/span><\/li>
      • Planning and implementation of information management strategy
        <\/span><\/li>
      • Experience translating business requirements into technical and functional requirements
        <\/span><\/li>
      • Proven experience and expertise with the development of Business Architecture for an acquired solution
        <\/span><\/li>
      • Experience utilizing techniques and strategies to elicit, identify, validate, analyze, model and document Business Architecture
        <\/span><\/li>
      • Experience with a wide range of methods, techniques and tools for business architecture such as, but not limited to: business functional modeling, service lifecycle modeling, business event modeling, business process mapping, value chain analysis, and other related disciplines
        <\/span><\/li>
      • Demonstrated experience participating in business systems requirements analysis and solution design activities
        <\/span><\/li>
      • Experience completing business architectures in government settings or similar complex, multi\-project\/multi\-client organizations
        <\/span><\/li> <\/ul>

        Required Skills:
        <\/p>

        • Strong documentation, and facilitation skills—able to co\-design in collaborative sessions and communicate clearly with non\-technical partners
          <\/span><\/li>
        • Strong analytical and problem\-solving skills to evaluate opportunities for innovation with internal and external partners.
          <\/span><\/li>
        • Strong communication skills, both orally and in writing, to communicate effectively with senior leaders, funders, and executives; communicate in a high\-risk environment, discuss technical concepts, produce documents.
          <\/span><\/li>
        • Ability to apply conceptual models to planning to product actionable execution approaches.
          <\/span><\/li>
        • Proficiency in business architecture methods and tools, such as business process mapping, capability modeling, and value stream analysis, with a focus on digital health, interoperability, and clinical data governance.
          <\/span><\/li>
        • Ability to identify the work required and organize, facilitate and\/or perform the work with only limited guidance.
