At MediaMarkt Spain, we are looking for a Returns Manager to join our Supply Chain team in the consumer electronics sector, making a significant impact at the national level. You will not only be responsible for managing reverse logistics, but we also value your experience in inventory management and space optimization. We are looking for someone with a global and strategic vision, capable of controlling the returns cycle while also improving storage efficiency by making the most of every available space.

Role Purpose

• Responsible for the day-to-day execution and continuous improvement of all returns operations within the national logistics network — covering store returns, home pick-ups, service returns, and vendor returns.
• Ensures that all reverse logistics activities run efficiently, cost-effectively, and in line with group standards, while maintaining a strong focus on customer satisfaction, sustainability, and compliance.
• Acts as the operational link between supply chain, customer experience, the country commercial and service teams, and 3PL partners managing returns flows.
• Identify necessary improvement areas and provide solutions across technology, process, customer journey, and commercial activities

Key Responsibilities

• Operational Management: Oversee daily reverse logistics activities from customer, store, and service center to warehouse, refurbisher, or vendor.
• Process Execution: Ensure all returns are processed according to SOPs — including inspection, grading, refurbishment, and dispatch to next destination (resale, recycling, or return-to-vendor).
• Partner Management: Manage national 3PLs, repair and recycling partners, ensuring performance against agreed SLAs and KPIs.
• Internal coordination and end-to-end process ownership: Lead and orchestrate other process owner departments (last mile, 3PL reconciliation, category (product management), customer experience and after sales departments)
• Performance Control: Track key returns KPIs (returns volume, lead time, cost per return, recovery ratio, NPS) and share with key process owners and central Logistics Excellence.
• Root Cause Analysis: Identify drivers of high return rates or process inefficiencies; collaborate with commercial and service teams to reduce preventable returns.
• Continuous Improvement: Implement group-defined Lean and process optimization measures locally; initiate small-scale local improvement projects Proactively identify system bugs, platform
• Compliance & Sustainability: Ensure returns handling complies with WEEE, product safety, and sustainability regulations.
• Budget Management: Control local returns budget and settlement of cost claims; identify savings opportunities.
• People Leadership: Lead and develop returns coordinators and warehouse teams responsible for returns processing.

Tu perfil

Location: Barcelona / Madrid-Pinto. Preferably based in Madrid, but if the candidate is located in Barcelona, availability to work 2-3 days every two weeks at the Madrid/Pinto warehouse is required.
