MANUAL CODING ASSISTANT FOR A LEADING SOCIAL RESEARCH AGENCY * Company: Revealing Reality * Location: London (Clapham Common) * Job Type: Temporary contract – (minimum 1 month). Immediate start first week of January 2026. * Pay: £150 per day * Hours: Minimum 3 days a week, ideally full-time. Mon-Fri. Job Description: We are looking for a small number of Manual Coding Assistants to support a time-critical research project. The role focuses on the systematic review and coding of video data, using a pre-defined coding framework. This task requires concentration, consistency and careful judgement, and is well suited to someone who enjoys structured analytical tasks. Key Responsibilities: * Review pre-recorded videos * Code behaviours using a coding framework accurately and consistently * Apply coding guidance and decision rules, and flag unclear or borderline cases * Keep clear records of work completed and any issues identified * Provide regular progress updates to the project team * Work in line with agreed ethical and data protection standards About you * Highly detail-oriented and careful in your work * Comfortable making judgement calls where things are not always clear-cut * Systematic, organised and able to work accurately over sustained periods * Willing to ask questions and sense-check decisions * Background in psychology, social sciences or a related field is a bonus but not essential * Confident with learning new software, computer use and structured data entry * This role would suit a current student, recent graduate or early-career researcher looking for hands-on experience working with real research data.
