We are currently seeking an individual to join the team as Regional Surveillance Technical Officer. What you will be doing: - Ensure that all technical requirements for the effective management of surveillance alert generation are being met and actioned appropriately by the central Surveillance capability teams. Providing regional input into the development and implementation of all surveillance technologies across trade, e-comms, UT and MCM, ensuring committed timelines are being met, with a strong focus on regulatory deliverables. Thorough review of regional surveillance technology performance via KPIs and KRIs (productivity levels, data quality issues, completeness issues, production issues) on an ongoing basis to ensure all supervisory, governance, and reporting requirements are being met. Act as the formal conduit between surveillance capability and regional surveillance teams, establishing effective feedback loops and ensuring that the voice of the regional surveillance user is heard and acted upon in a timely manner, including feedback relating to user acceptance, and below the line testing. Provide surveillance SME input into Tuning & Calibration activities, across all capabilities, including prompt engineering and AI initiatives. To be successful in this role you should have: - Knowledge of market abuse and relevant industry regulations, such as: MAR, MIFID, the FCA Handbook and other relevant global regulations. Experience across surveillance disciplines and tooling, their underlying technical principles and requirements. Ability to self-motivate and self-manage, maintaining grip on delivery of competing deliverables. Strong communication skills, with an ability to analyse and present complex information in a clear, concise, and precise written and verbal format. An ability to think strategically, laterally and demonstrate resilience. The role location will be London.
