About the role The finance team at The Guinness Partnership play a critical role in the success of the organisation. With an overall aim of ensuring Guinness has a strong financial base from which we can be a high performing organisation. We are recruiting for a Reconciliations & Reporting Accountant to join our finance team to deliver a high-quality balance sheet reconciliation and reporting process in accordance with agreed timetables and in line with accounting standards. This is a full time, 35 hours per week, permanent role based at our Oldham, Bower House office. We are currently working to a hybrid working style. What we’re looking for We know that how we do things is just as important as what we do, so you’ll not only be highly self-motivated with the rigour to pursue goals, but you’ll also be a confident collaborator, networker and relationship builder with a willingness to go the extra mile to get the job done. You’ll be able to demonstrate Essential: Experience of producing balance sheet reconciliations in a complex business including liaising with external audit and producing technical reports for management as appropriate. Solid knowledge of fundamental accounting principles. Good attention to detail with ability to prioritise and manage a varied workload to meet agreed deadlines. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office. Demonstrates the Guinness Behaviours. Desirable: Experience of using Oracle Financials or equivalent ERP system. Proven experience of project management. Experience of managing a small team to deliver success. Experience of accounting in the Social Housing sector. Qualifications Essential: CCAB / CIMA / ACCA qualified accountant.
