Wood is currently recruiting a Senior / Specialist Protection & Controls Engineer to join our Oil, Gas & New Energies (OGNE) business. This position offers a hybrid work model and can be based in Calgary AB, Edmonton AB, Oakville ON, or Sarnia ON. #LI-Hybrid The Role This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced engineer with a proven track record in protection, control, and metering system design for electrical substations. You will provide technical leadership and support to a team of engineers and designers, delivering projects from conceptual stage through construction and commissioning. Key tasks include conducting protection coordination studies, relay settings, SCADA and HMI configuration, developing AC/DC schematics and three-line diagrams, panel layouts, performing engineering design reviews and factory inspections, and supporting construction and commissioning activities.
