This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Project Engineer in the United States.

As a Project Engineer, you will lead medium to large-scale environmental projects, ensuring safe, cost-effective, and high-quality execution from start to finish. You will manage all aspects of project delivery, including scope, schedule, cost, safety, and client communication, while coordinating cross-functional teams and external vendors. This role requires a strong technical background, attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills to oversee project design, inspections, testing, and logistics. The position also includes travel to client and vendor sites as required, and offers the chance to develop expertise in industrial air and water systems, as well as energy transition technologies.

Accountabilities:

  • Develop detailed project plans, schedule milestones, and track progress through regular status reports.
  • Identify project risks and escalate issues appropriately to maintain project timelines and budgets.
  • Manage all commercial aspects of projects, including budgets, expenditures, payment schedules, and purchase terms.
  • Serve as the primary contact for clients and stakeholders, managing relationships and ensuring satisfaction.
  • Coordinate logistics for timely delivery and installation of project components.
  • Review product designs and engineering drawings for compliance with technical standards and client requirements.
  • Conduct inspections and testing of parts and equipment, including on-site field service as needed.
  • Support knowledge transfer within the project team to enhance capabilities and efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of project management experience.
  • Knowledge of the gas abatement industry, specifically wet scrubbers, is desirable.
  • Proficient in reading, understanding, and creating P&IDs and PFDs for liquid process flow equipment.
  • Experience with sizing pumps, piping, and ducting; aptitude for mechanical design.
  • Familiarity with CAD engineering drawings and 3D modeling software such as SolidWorks.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Understanding of heat and mass transfer principles for wet scrubbers is a plus.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
