Job Description

Production Engineer Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support to production areas, optimising processes to achieve OEE objectives and production KPIs
• Analyse and improve production efficiency, implementing strategies to reduce waste and enhance performance
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for production processes
• Collaborate with quality control and product development teams to ensure products meet required standards and specifications
• Troubleshoot equipment issues, implement preventive maintenance schedules, and liaise with suppliers to resolve technical problems
• Monitor key production metrics, reporting findings to management and recommending innovative solutions
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and environmental standards
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, fostering a culture of efficiency and quality across the organisation

Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design and Product Development Engineering, or a related field
• Proficiency in MS Office suite and administrative tasks
• Fluent in English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in production engineering or a related field
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
• Familiarity with quality control processes and standards
• Understanding of health and safety regulations in manufacturing environments
• Experience with process analysis and optimization techniques
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications (CAD tools)
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
• Lean Manufacturing: Basic knowledge of Lean elements such as: 5S, Continuous Improvement, Kaizen, Kanban, Point-of-Use.
• Pokayoke, Process Mapping, SMED, etc.
