Product Designer

What you'll bring to the team We are seeking a creative and driven Retail Designer to shape innovative and compelling bespoke retail products and packaging across our attractions worldwide. You will manage projects from initial concept through to design sign-off, working closely with the global buying team to deliver on specific briefs and brand style guides. As a key brand guardian, you’ll ensure consistency and integrity across all retail products while bringing Merlin brands and IPs to life, helping create world-class guest experiences. In this role, you will produce creative artwork and assets, contribute ideas for new products and assortments, and continually challenge and evolve our retail offering. Working in collaboration with the global buying and compliance teams, you’ll ensure all designs meet product and regulatory standards. You will help extend Merlin’s mission of creating “Memorable Experiences” beyond our attractions by developing retail products that surprise and delight our guests. Qualifications & Experience BA Hons degree or equivalent in Product Design, Graphic Design or similar and proven experience in a similar design role. Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. Illustration 2D and 3D design. Experience in packaging design useful. Experience with product and graphic design across multi-product areas. Experience working with style guides and design assets. Experience within a fast-paced commercial environment. An understanding of gift and non-fashion products and the various associated manufacturing techniques preferable.
