This role involves managing customer environments, operations, troubleshooting technical issues, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring maximum system uptime and efficiency. The ideal candidate brings proven experience in customer production support, a problem-solving mindset, strong communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities
- Production Environment Management:
- Ensure the stability, reliability, and performance of production systems, applications, and infrastructure.
- Monitor production environments and proactively identify, report, and resolve issues to minimize downtime.
- Oversee daily health checks, batch processes, and system jobs, and coordinate timely resolution of production incidents.
- Manage change control and deployment activities in production systems according to best practices.
- Incident & Problem Management:
- Serve as the primary escalation point for production incidents.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot infra, database and middleware issues in production environments.
- Manage root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive measures to reduce recurring incidents.
- Process Improvement & Documentation:
- Develop, refine, and document standard operating procedures, support guides, and best practices.
- Suggest and implement process improvements to optimize operational efficiency.
- Stakeholder Communication & Coordination:
- Collaborate with internal teams (Development, QA, Infrastructure, Functional) for issue resolution and enhancements.
- Communicate production status, risks, and outages to stakeholders and management, providing timely updates and post-mortem analysis.
- Maintenance & Upgrades:
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate system maintenance, updates, and releases with minimal disruption to business operations.
- Ensure compliance with security, backup, and disaster recovery protocols.
- Support & Training:
- Provide technical support and training to end-users as needed.
- Mentor junior team members and support staff.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 10+ years of experience in IT production support, IT operations, or related roles.
- Hands on experience with Oracle Database Administration, Oracle Fusion Middleware WebLogic Server Admin and Cloud Technologies.
- Proficiency with ITSM/incident management tools and monitoring systems (e.g., Observability & Management, Jira, ServiceNow, Splunk).
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills across databases, cloud architecture including security rules and other application related infrastructure.
- Experience with deployment, release management, and change control processes.
- Familiarity with scripting or automation and usage of AI tools is a plus.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work after-hours or on-call as needed for critical incidents or scheduled maintenance.
Preferred Skills
- ITIL, PMP, or related certifications.
- Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Understanding of DevOps principles and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience in high-availability or regulated industries (finance, healthcare, etc.).

CA: Hiring Range in CAD from: $66,800 to $145,900 per annum.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
This role regularly interacts with customers across North America, so a professional level of English is required. A proficiency of French is required for candidates residing in Quebec, otherwise it is considered an asset.
