Policy Center Guidewire Developer Exciting opportunity in the insurance industry for an experienced technical expert with hands-on Guidewire PolicyCenter configuration experience. What is in it for you: • Rates (per hour): • Salaried; Associate Certified: $81 • Salaried; Ace Certified: $88 • Incorporated Business; Associate Certified: $93 • Incorporated Business; Ace Certified: $101 • 6-month contract. • Full-time position: 37.50 hours per week. • Hybrid model: 3 days per week on-site, subject to change. Responsibilities: • Collaborate with global teams including business analysts, architects, and engineers to design, develop, test, and implement software solutions. • Review software requirements efficiently. • Build architectural diagrams and design documents. • Design user interfaces, business rules, and workflow modifications. • Configure, package, and deploy Guidewire software. • Write clean, maintainable code and adhere to coding standards. • Debug applications and perform unit testing. • Conduct peer code reviews. • Mentor junior development resources. What you will need to succeed: • Bachelor’s (or higher) degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience. • Guidewire Cloud Certification is a must. • 10+ years of proven experience in Guidewire Application Development. • 7+ years of experience in Guidewire development. • Must have hands-on experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter Configuration. • Familiarity with Guidewire BillingCenter Configuration is an asset. • Expertise in GOSU language, Guidewire tools, accelerators, Guidewire Batch, and predefined plugins. • Strong understanding of Agile development using tools such as Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Jira, and Confluence. • Domain knowledge in Property and Casualty Insurance. • 7+ years of experience coding RESTful APIs. • Ability to read and reverse engineer code in other programming languages. • Experience with multiple programming languages such as Java and Python is an asset. • Proficiency in relational databases and SQL, particularly MS SQL Server. • Strong skills in designing and developing business database applications. • Experience in creating modern web applications and designing REST/JSON Web APIs. • Solid understanding of design thinking and customer-centric development.
