Position #: 202396 Expected Start Date: December 1, 2025 Union: HSAS Facility: Southwest Integrated Health Facility City/Town: Maple Creek Department: Primary Care Sites Type: Full-time regular FTE: 1 Shift Information: Days Hours of Work: 14 shifts of 8 hours per 3 weeks Relief: No Float: No Field Hours: No Travel Required: No Salary: $51.102 to $62.500 (5 step range) Job Description: Physician Assistants (PAs) are academically and clinically educated medical generalists who practice medicine within a formalized relationship with a physician. Regulated by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (CPSS), PAs collect and interpret medical information, make appropriate clinical decisions and carry out diagnostic and therapeutic interventions within a formalized Physician/PA relationship agreement approved by the CPSS. Human Resources Exemption: No Experience Clinical experience working as a PA in a related clinical field, is an asset Education Successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant educational degree program recognized by the Physician Assistant Certification Council of Canada (PACCC) Holds one of the following certifications: Canadian Certified Physician Assistant (CCPA) through PACCC or the Physician Assistant - Certified (PA-C) through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). (May be asked to provide proof of meeting maintenance of certification requirements). Licenses Membership and Licensure in good standing with the CPSS as a Physician Assistant (Eligible for registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (CPSS) for applicants outside of Saskatchewan) Membership with the Canadian Association of Physician Assistants Competencies Intermediate - Computer skills Advanced - Communication skills Advanced - Analytical skills Intermediate - Mobilizes people, inspires and leads by example Advanced - Technical skills Advanced - Interpersonal skills Knowledge and Abilities Ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team Exemplifies ethical practices, professionalism and personal integrity Committed to delivering on patient and family centred care Commitment to quality, safety, and improvement striving towards zero harm Demonstrated written and spoken competence in English language Ability to work independently Ability to treat patients with compassion and empathy Commitment to a diverse, representative workforce and cultural safety Other Information Pediatric Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification (PALS) an asset Advanced Cardiac Life Support certificate (ACLS) an asset Current ATLS Certification (Advanced Trauma Life Support), is an asset Standby may be required.
