GEORGE’S GROUP (TASTY CHOICE FOODS) ROLE: Peel Line Operative & Relief Driver SALARY: £12.21 per hour HOURS: Part Time – 27.5 hours Tasty Choice Foods, part of the George’s Group, is a busy, friendly production unit in Ilkeston, providing freshly prepared fish & potatoes, along with a variety of chilled goods , which we deliver across the George’s Tradition Group. We're looking for a reliable, hands-on team player to join our Potato Peeling Line team - someone who's not afraid to roll up their sleeves and get stuck in! This role also includes acting as a relief driver, covering absence and holidays for our Transit Delivery Driver, so flexibility and a can-do attitude are key. In this role you will be required to load the vans and therefore there will be daily manual handling involved. What you'll be doing Operating on the peel line, ensuring our products are prepared to the highest standards Loading vans and handling goods safely (manual handling involved daily) Supporting deliveries as a relief driver when required Working as part of a close-knit, supportive team to meet production and delivery deadlines What we’re looking for A genuine, reliable person with a positive attitude and strong work ethic Good time management and teamwork skills Previous experience in a catering or food production environment (preferred) Full, clean UK driving licence (required) Forklift truck licence (required) What We Offer 28 days holiday (pro-rata where appropriate) Full uniform and footwear provided Staff discount across the George's Group Long Service, Christmas and Birthday bonus payments Company Pension A supportive, family-style culture where everyone's valued Great opportunities to grow and progress within the Group
