Packaging Technician

We are looking for a talented Packaging Technician, specialising in Logistics, for the Packaging Department based in Darlington, United Kingdom. This is permanent on-site position, working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways: Cost and Waste Reduction: Lead initiatives to reduce packaging costs and minimise waste, supporting sustainability goals. Ergonomic Enhancements: Improve packaging processes to ensure safer and more efficient handling for employees. Material Management: Oversee ordering and inventory of packaging materials to maintain optimal stock levels. Returnable Packaging Solutions: Develop and implement reusable packaging systems to cut costs and environmental impact. Data-Driven Decisions: Analyse packaging data to identify trends and optimise operational efficiency. Supplier Collaboration: Partner with suppliers to design and qualify innovative, sustainable packaging solutions. Cross-Functional Leadership: Drive packaging improvements across departments, including HSE, Quality, and Manufacturing. Mentorship and Team Development: Support and guide Packaging Technicians to foster a collaborative team culture.
