Position #: 9004227 Expected Start Date: June 30, 2025 Union: SUN Facility: West Winds Primary Health Centre City/Town: Saskatoon Department: Bridge City Clinic - Primary Care Sites Type: Full-time regular FTE: 1 Hours of Work: 28 shifts of 8 hours per 6 weeks Relief: No Float: No Field Hours: No Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Nurse Practitioner $52.590 to $62.910 Travel Required: Yes Job Description: The Primary Health Nurse Practitioner RN(NP) is an advanced practice nurse with knowledge and skills gained through additional education and experience. The Nurse Practitioner blends an in-depth knowledge of nursing with the legal authority and autonomy to order diagnostic tests, prescribe pharmaceuticals and perform specific procedures in the management and treatment of common acute illnesses and stable chronic conditions. The RN(NP) practices within a framework of evidence-based primary care, holism, health promotion, and disease and injury prevention. The practice involves building partnerships with individuals, families, and communities. This includes community needs assessments; supporting inter-professional collaboration; and participating in continuous improvements through evaluative processes/projects. Human Resources Exemption: No Experience Three years fulltime experience as a Registered Nurse Education Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) Licenses Registered Nurse Practitioner (RN(NP)) Other Education and Training Nursing diploma is acceptable Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS) Competencies Leadership skills Communication skills Research skills Organizational skills Decision making skills Facilitation skills Problem solving skills Knowledge and Abilities Ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team Ability to work independently Knowledge in education and program development, implementation and evaluation Knowledge in communication techniques and approaches Knowledge in diverse cultures, values and traditions Other Information Travel within the region and provincially One (1) year nursing experience in a primary health care setting preferred
