Position #: 169835 Expected Start Date: November 03, 2025 Union: SUN Facility: Nurses Alumni Wing City/Town: Saskatoon Department: Mental Health Community Clinics & Programs - Youth Community Counselling RUH Type: Full-time regular FTE: 1 Shift Information: Days Hours of Work: 224 hours per 6 weeks Relief: No Float: No Field Hours: Yes Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Nurse B $42.040 to $52.440 Travel Required: Yes Job Description: As a member of Mental Health and Addiction Services, the Community Mental Health Nurse is an integral member of the Early Psychosis Intervention Program multidisciplinary team providing intensive case management to individuals with chronic and persistent mental illness and substance abuse issues. These services are provided within an individual and group context. Responsibilities include intensive case management, medication management, crisis intervention, counselling, goal planning, consultation to community agencies, group/community education, student mentoring, documentation, client/family and public education, advocacy, and mental health promotion. Human Resources Exemption: No Licenses Valid Class 5 Driver’s License required Experience Five (5) years experience in Mental Health Education Bachelor of Psychiatric Nursing (BPN) Other Education and Training Current PART and CPR certification Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS) Bachelor of Nursing is acceptable Workplace Assessment & Violence Education (WAVE) Psychiatric Nursing diploma is acceptable Nursing diploma is acceptable Competencies Advanced - Change management skills Advanced - Organizational skills Advanced - Facilitation skills Advanced - Interpersonal skills Intermediate - Presentation skills Intermediate - Computer skills Advanced - Communication skills Knowledge and Abilities Ability to be flexible and willing to change Ability to work independently Ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team Ability to communicate with clients from diverse cultural backgrounds Other Information Registered/eligible with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS) Registered/eligible with the Registered Psychiatric Nurses Association of SK Travel required For more information on the city of Saskatoon please visit https://www.saskatoon.ca/
