This will include coordination and accountability for decision making with respects to consultation, placement and movement of patients within and outside of tertiary acute care. The System Flow Coordinator will function as an integral member of an acute care team whose collective responsibility will include access to and movement through resources across the continuum, and to other health facilities. The System Flow Coordinator provides access to consultation with physicians, patients, families, nurses and support staff. During off hours the System Flow Coordinator will function as a management representative with respect to problem solving and communication. Human Resources Exemption: No Experience Previous coordinator or management experience is preferred 5 years recent experience in a medical, surgical, critical care or ER dept Intermediate computer skills with experience in excel and word Education Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) Licenses Registered Nurse (RN) Other Education and Training Nursing diploma is acceptable Basic Life Support Level C Certificate (BLS-C) Other Information Scheduled hours of work may be reduced (if applicable) during the rotation stipulated when a statutory holiday is recognized during that period.
