Mobile Apps Developer Intern (Android) Department: R&D Employment Type: Internship Location: Salisbury Description The Focal and Naim mobile app is used to control streaming audio products and wireless headphones. It is available on iOS and Android and is designed and developed in-house. Working in the Research and Development department Mobile Apps team you will assist in app development, focusing on Android. Using technologies native to Android you will either work on new app features or improving existing features. We anticipate the internship will last between 1 and 3 months over the summer of 2026. Key Responsibilities Assisting in developing the Naim / Focal app Work with other developers, designers and sometimes engineers from the embedded software team. Write Clean, Maintainable Code Test Features and Functionality Participate in Code Reviews Participate in daily stand-up meetings Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Android Developers: Android Studio, Kotlin and Compose. Git and github usage REST APIs JSON parsing Basic understanding of unit testing.
