This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for an ML Ops Associate Director in North America.

This role offers a strategic and hands-on leadership opportunity in the design, deployment, and operational management of machine learning systems. You will oversee end-to-end ML workflows, ensuring production models run reliably while driving automation initiatives that improve efficiency across the organization. The position involves collaborating with analytics, sales, and operations teams to identify areas where ML can deliver measurable business impact. You will also lead and mentor junior data scientists, interns, and cross-functional teams, sharing best practices for model development, deployment, and maintenance. This role provides exposure to cutting-edge technologies in containers, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-based ML environments, all within a collaborative and results-driven setting.

Accountabilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain production-ready machine learning models to support business operations.
  • Develop automation tools and pipelines to streamline workflows and reduce manual intervention.
  • Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams to refine analytical objectives and translate them into actionable ML solutions.
  • Support front-end applications, dashboards, and reporting tools that convert data into business insights.
  • Ensure seamless operation of ML systems in production, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
  • Identify strategic areas for automation to maximize operational efficiency.
  • Train, supervise, and mentor junior data scientists and interns on project-based initiatives.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field (or foreign equivalent).
  • Minimum 4 years of experience with: containerization, CI/CD tools, Git, and designing/deploying end-to-end ML workflows.
  • Strong programming skills in Python or R, with fluency in SQL.
  • Demonstrated ability to create measurable business impact using statistical modeling and machine learning techniques.
  • Solid understanding of mathematical foundations behind ML algorithms.
  • Experience with shell scripting, debugging tools, containerized environments, and Linux systems.
  • Strong leadership, mentorship, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
