Location: Antwerp, Belgium
Responsibilities
Review and approve:
a) unit price measurements against Issued for Construction (IFC) drawings;
b) as-built measurements based on drawings submitted by construction contractors.
Verify quantities and perform related cost evaluations in accordance with contract preambles and methods of measurement.
Prepare and issue weekly reports on the status of pre-construction and as-built measurements for each contract.
Expedite and ensure the timely submission of measurements from construction contractors.
Maintain accurate and organized filing of all measurements to support audits.
Liaise with construction contractors to verify their monthly Progress Payment Certificates.
Review and validate the evaluation of any extra work requested by contractors or the client.
Support the analysis of construction contractors’ claims.
Assist in the preparation of contract revisions.
Monitor official correspondence between Wood and construction contractors, informing the Subcontract Administrator of any urgent matters.
Assist in drafting official correspondence to construction contractors.
Track expiry dates of bank guarantees (performance, advance payment, etc.) and insurance documents provided by contractors.
Attend weekly subcontractor meetings and assist in preparing meeting minutes.
Contribute to the monthly subcontract report, including updates on extra works issued during the period.
Skills & Qualifications
The ideal candidate should:
Hold an engineering, technical, or related degree, with at least 2 years of experience in Quantity Surveying within industrial plant projects;
Have a very good command of written and spoken English (Dutch is a plus);
Be proficient in MS Office, particularly in managing complex Excel files;
Demonstrate strong communication skills;
Be comfortable working within integrated teams on complex projects;
Be eligible to work in Belgium;
Be available to work on-site.
