Mechanical Insulation Foreperson 

We are seeking a qualified Mechanical Insulation Foreperson to join our team. 

This position requires a strong leader who can run a crew efficiently, Track labour hours, maintain safety standards, ensure quality workmanship and alignment with project schedules on commercial and industrial projects.

Key Impact 

  • Drive quality insulation and constructability through strong on‑site leadership. 
  • Improve communication and coordination between field teams, project managers and consultants 
  • Ensure accuracy and efficiency by reviewing drawings, specifications, and consultant submissions. 

Duties & Responsibilities 

  • Supervise and coordinate insulation crews on job sites 
  • Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and project drawings 
  • Plan daily work activities and ensure project timelines and labour hours are met 
  • Order and track materials, tools, and equipment 
  • Ensure all work meets quality standards and job specifications 
  • Enforce safety regulations and maintain a safe work environment 
  • Communicate effectively with project managers, general contractors, and other trades 
  • Train and mentor apprentices and journeymen 
  • Complete daily time sheets, daily logs, and maintain job documentation. 

 

Must Have Qualifications 

  • Certified Journeyperson in Insulation or proven foreman experience 
  • 5+ years of experience field leadership 
  • BluePrint reading and layout skills 
  • Knowledge of insulation systems (Pipe, Duct, Equipment) 
  • Strong communication , coordination skills, impressive problem solving/troubleshooting skills 
  • Safety conscience individual who respects and adheres to all safety measures whilst on site 

 

Nice to Have 

  • Membership with Local 95 or in good standing with a similar union. 

This is a new position. Hourly rate range $52.69 - $54.69 as per Local 95 Collective agreement
