The Offices are located on the river Tees with close access to walks, shops and restaurants. The Opportunity We are now recruiting for a Managing Director- Engineering & Projects. The role oversees the full life cycle of Engineering and development projects, delivering clearly strategy for growth to meet business plan targets. The Managing Director - Engineering and Projects will prepare and manage the Engineering and Projects Department business plan, ensuring compliance with all legal, statutory and HSE requirements. Key Responsibilities Overseeing the full life cycle of Engineering and development projects. Lead and manage assigned personnel, taking overall responsibility for their supervision, development, welfare and overall effectiveness. Ensure business compliance and risk is managed within required parameters enabling all competent authority, quality standards, insurer requirements and other business risks are met Ensure the development and delivery of the Business Plans for Engineering and Projects. Providing monthly updates to the Board on progress. Delivery of growth and development of the Engineering and Projects Department to meet Business Plan targets. Be an active member of the leadership team reporting into the COO, providing support and guidance to ensure all corporate targets are achieved and standards maintained. Ensure the development, implementation, and delivery of required corporate documentation and processes including Annual Delivery Plans (ADP), risk management registers and Company Operating system documentation. Minimum Requirements Engineering Degree qualified Experience successfully leading and managing a Tier 1, 2 or 3 Projects and Engineering business. Experience in developing and delivering growth strategy in a Projects and Engineering organisation. Experience of developing and delivering on Business Plans and reporting progress to Board Level Experience of developing Projects and Engineering business outside of the UK.
