POSITION: Maintenance Reliability Specialist REPORTS TO: Maintenance Manager SALARY: $65,000-$75,000 annually TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Permanent - Full Time  LOCATION: Charlottetown, PEI     Island Abbey Nutritionals provides full contract manufacturing, bottling, and packaging services for white-label production from concept to launch.    We are the proud makers of Honibe® natural health products- the only pure solid honey products in the world scientifically proven to retain all of honey’s naturally occurring health benefit.   The Maintenance Reliability Specialist ensures that all maintenance activities within the facility are well-planned and executed efficiently. This role is vital in minimizing downtime, improving productivity & reliability ensuring the smooth operation of manufacturing processes.     KEY RESPONSIBILITIES     * Create and manage detailed maintenance schedules and work orders in CMMS to ensure regular upkeep of equipment and machinery. * Work closely with maintenance technicians, engineering teams, and operations staff to schedule and prioritize maintenance tasks. * Analyze equipment performance data to identify recurring issues, plan & recommend solutions to improve uptime and reliability. * Develop strategies and implement initiatives to extend equipment lifespan and reduce overall maintenance costs. * Ensure all maintenance work complies with safety regulations, relevant SOPs, and industry standards. * Track the inventory of spare parts and ensure their availability for routine and emergency maintenance. * Maintain accurate maintenance & equipment performance records. Prepare and present reports on these records and use this data to drive reliability & performance improvements. * Work with vendors and suppliers for the procurement of necessary tools, equipment, consumables, service, and parts. * Perform other maintenance duties as requested.   QUALIFICATIONS * 3+ years in progressive maintenance technician roles in manufacturing environment. * Knowledge and experience with maintenance processes and equipment. Red Seal in a related trade would be considered an asset. * Experience using CMMS and Microsoft Office preferred. * Ability to develop and manage schedules and coordinate multiple tasks. * Ensuring accuracy in record-keeping and compliance with safety standards. * Effective communication with various teams and external vendors.
