Overview Machine Operative - Nights Humdinger, Heckington, NG34 9JH Humdinger are seeking skilled Machine Operatives who are hard working with strong communication skills and the ability to meet manufacturing deadlines within a team environment. You will have worked in an FMCG/ Food Manufacturing environment previously with proven experience working with machinery. Position Type: Full-time, Permanent Hours: 36 Shift Pattern: Monday - Saturday, 3 on 4 off, 18:00 - 06:00 (12 hour night shift) Pay range: £15.57 (Starting pay) - £16.62 /hour Breaks: 3 x 20 minutes paid Closing Date: Friday 12th December 2025 15:00 Responsibilities Operate and monitor factory machinery, making sure processes run safely and accurately. Carry out routine checks and record results clearly and neatly. Report any equipment issues and breakdowns promptly and work with our Engineering team to resolve them. Communicate with Quality teams and supervisors about any irregularities during production. Maintain safety, quality, and compliance standards throughout the facility. Handle and lift ingredients weighing up to 25kg as part of daily tasks. Qualifications An understanding of food safety - prior training such as Food Safety Level 2 will be beneficial, however, you will also receive this training via Humdinger Machinery experience Good oral and written communication skills are required Experience within a factory environment such as Production Operative; Line Leader; Machine Operative; General Operative; Machine Minder; Line Technician Rewards Benefits 20 days of annual leave (pro rata due to 12 hour shifts) Paid Breaks Overtime available but not guaranteed: 1.5x hourly rate, and 2x on a Sunday 4% employer and 5 % employee pension plan Life assurance plan x4 basic salary Various salary sacrifice schemes including pension payments, cycle to work and electric car (subject to meeting minimum criteria) Healthcare cash plan via paycare (Dental, Optical, Chiropody, Professional Therapy, Counselling) with a value over £400 each year About Us At Humdinger, we transform coco, nuts, seeds, fruit, and pulses into delectable snacks and chocolates for both our in-house label and renowned branded ranges.
