- Client Overview: The Coalition is a Microsoft first -party development studio located in Vancouver, Canada. They are the official home of the Gears of War franchise, and their objective is to push the limits of Microsoft’s entertainment platforms and devices. <\/div>
- Role Summary: As a Level Artist, you will partner with various teams to bring the artistic vision to life by producing high -quality level artwork. Your role is essential in creating visually stunning and playable levels within the game. <\/div>

- Uphold the values of The Coalition Art Team and maintain a positive and inclusive culture. <\/div>
- Produce high -quality level artwork and stay updated with current industry trends. <\/div>
- Support the artistic vision and maintain visual quality, consistency, and level performance. <\/div>
- Collaborate with the Level Design Team to solve art/design challenges and create playable and performant levels. <\/div>
- Work closely with the Environment Art Team to communicate environment set requirements. <\/div>

- MUST -Have Skills and Qualifications: <\/div>
- Portfolio showcasing high -quality environment and level artwork. <\/div>
- 3+ years of experience in environment/level art, with at least one shipped title. <\/div>
- Strong time management skills and ability to work under deadlines. <\/div>
- Proficiency in level creation methods using Unreal Engine or similar game engines. <\/div>
- Strong working knowledge of Maya (preferred) or similar 3D modeling software, Substance, Photoshop, and Z -brush. <\/div>
- Preferred Skills and Qualifications: <\/div>
- Experience with modular kits and Unreal Engine. <\/div>
- Strong understanding of current level art creation workflows. <\/div>
