Overview
The Lead Python Engineer plays a key role in elevating engineering standards, modernizing architecture, and guiding a collaborative development team. This role focuses on driving best practices, shaping technical strategy, and delivering scalable, high-quality software solutions.
What You’ll Do
Lead the transition from a monolithic application to a modern microservices architecture.
Partner closely with Product, AI, and cross-functional teams to develop detailed technical design documents.
Break down large technical initiatives into clear engineering tasks and delegate across a growing team.
Oversee end-to-end software development lifecycle—from requirements and design through testing, deployment, and production support.
Implement and improve CI/CD pipelines, DevOps workflows, and cloud-native development practices.
Mentor and support a small engineering team (expected to grow to 3–4 direct reports).
Contribute to forward-looking architectural planning and long-term platform scalability efforts.
Promote engineering excellence, collaboration, and a culture of continuous improvement.
Required Skills
Strong expertise in Python and Django.
Experience building web applications in a cloud environment (AWS preferred).
Hands-on experience improving CI/CD pipelines and DevOps processes.
Ability to write clear technical documentation and contribute to architectural design.
Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Experience working in fast-paced, product-focused engineering environments.
