KS2 Class Teacher (Maternity Cover, Fixed Term) John Wood School & Nursery (Part of Chancery Education Trust) About the Role John Wood School & Nursery is seeking an inspiring and dedicated KS1/KS2 Class Teacher to join our committed and enthusiastic team on a maternity cover basis. Key Responsibilities • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning that inspires, motivates, and challenges pupils. • Model and disseminate excellent classroom practice to promote consistently strong outcomes. • Maintain a positive, dynamic, and inclusive learning environment. • Set high expectations for behaviour, achievement, and personal development. • Work collaboratively with colleagues and parents to support pupil progress and wellbeing. • Contribute to the wider life of the school and uphold its caring, ambitious ethos. • Promote pupil attendance, engagement, and wellbeing as part of safeguarding practice. • Support children’s digital safety and online awareness in line with current guidance. Key Requirements • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). • Experience of teaching in Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2. • A proven ability (or potential) to deliver high-quality, engaging lessons.• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with pupils, colleagues, and parents. • A commitment to professional development and reflective practice. • Awareness of safeguarding responsibilities and dedication to keeping children safe in education.
