Junior Accounting Tech Consultant

About the Role

As a Jr. Accounting Tech Consultant, you’ll work with the RLB Digital team to support clients as they transition to modern cloud accounting platforms. Your time will be split between:

1. QuickBooks Online (QBO) and app ecosystem implementations
2. Sage Intacct ERP system implementations
3. Bookkeeping support post implementation projects
4. Automation development in low code tools like Zapier

This is a project-based, hands-on role that blends technical accounting knowledge with modern tools and process improvement. You’ll also help build automation workflows (e.g., with Zapier), and directly support our Accounting Tech Consultant with senior-level bookkeeping and data entry tasks as needed.

You do not need prior experience with Sage Intacct—we will train you. However, a willingness to learn ERP-level systems or past exposure to other ERPs (e.g., NetSuite, Dynamics, Acumatica) is considered a strong asset.

What You'll Do:

• Lead or support client migrations to QuickBooks Online and Sage Intacct
• Configure and integrate cloud accounting apps (Dext, Plooto, Wagepoint, Shopify, etc.)
• Assist with workflow automation using Zapier and other low-code tools
• Help train clients and document setup, processes, and SOPs
• Provide monthly bookkeeping support and data entry for a key client (backing up our Accounting Tech Consultant)
• Participate in team discussions around ERP scoping, client needs, and system design
• Grow your ERP knowledge under the guidance of senior team members

What You Bring:

• Solid bookkeeping experience (public practice or industry)
• QBO Advanced Certification (or equivalent hands-on experience)
• High attention to detail for data entry and reconciliations
• Familiarity with the QBO app ecosystem
• Intermediate to Advanced Excel knowledge
• Interest in (or exposure to) ERP systems—you’re not afraid to step into bigger, more complex implementations
• Willingness to learn Sage Intacct and become a core part of our ERP team
• Working knowledge of Zapier or similar automation tools
• Comfort communicating with clients and walking them through system changes

Bonus Points

• Experience with other ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Acumatica, Dynamics)
• Familiarity with nonprofit, professional services, or retail industries
• Ability to document workflows and develop client training resources
