To provide all aspects of Carpentry and Joinery work including maintenance, repairs and new build work, across the full range of domestic and non-domestic properties, including the larger and higher quality work in public buildings, ensuring that all such works are carried out in a manner that positively contributes to a high quality, responsive and cost effective service which meets Service and Customer expectations The range of buildings our work is carried out on includes domestic housing, sheltered housing, care homes, offices, libraries, theatres and conference centres, sports complexes, leisure centres and swimming pools, community centres, schools, nurseries, fire stations, police stations and new build sites. These range from single storey buildings to multi storey and from standard construction methods to more bespoke and more complex constructed buildings. The Person We require the applicant to be time served in Carpentry and Joinery The applicant should have a City & Guild Certificate in Carpentry and Joinery and/or equivalent SVQ Level 3 attainment. The applicant should have the ability to carry out assigned work to standard and speed reasonably expected from a qualified craftsperson in specified trade. The applicant should have the ability to interpret instructions from job ticket or architectural drawings Building Services implement a respiratory protective equipment (RPE) policy which will require you to be clean shaven when required for face fit testing and working in areas where the wearing of a mask is required. Qualifications City & Guilds Certificates in required trade and/or equivalent SVQ level 3 attainments.
