Java Developer – 6–12 Month Contract (Potential to Extend) Start Date: January 2026 Location: Fully remote with occasional workshops (every 6 weeks) in London, Manchester, Newcastle, or Leeds About the Opportunity We’re seeking skilled Java Developers to join a high-impact project starting in January 2026. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a collaborative, agile environment on critical systems for an exciting programme. While the role is primarily remote, occasional in-person workshops will help foster team alignment and knowledge sharing. What You’ll Be Doing: Design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable applications using Java. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions. Contribute to code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices. Implement unit testing and follow TDD principles. Work within agile frameworks and participate in sprint planning and retrospectives. Tech Stack You’ll Be Using: Languages: Java Frameworks & Tools: Spring Boot, REST APIs Version Control: Git CI/CD: Jenkins or similar tools Cloud: AWS (beneficial) What We’re Looking For: Experienced in software development. Strong proficiency in Java and related frameworks. Familiarity with agile methodologies and collaborative development practices. Ability to work independently and as part of a distributed team.
