We are seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Architect to design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly reliable technology environments. In this role, you will collaborate across IT and business units to ensure cloud, automation, and enterprise systems are optimized for performance, security, and operational continuity. You will have the opportunity to lead architecture design, implement advanced automation workflows, and support integrated enterprise applications. This position requires a hands-on professional who can mentor teams, troubleshoot complex issues, and drive initiatives that enhance the efficiency and reliability of technology systems. Working in a fully remote environment, you will have a strategic impact on the infrastructure supporting business operations and innovation.
Accountabilities
- Architect, deploy, and operate enterprise-level infrastructure, including cloud platforms (Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS).
- Develop and maintain automation workflows for provisioning, configuration, monitoring, and lifecycle management using PowerShell, Bash, and Azure Automation Runbooks.
- Integrate enterprise systems and applications to ensure secure data exchange, interoperability, and consistent operations.
- Define technical specifications and implement infrastructure solutions in alignment with ITIL and change management best practices.
- Monitor infrastructure performance and security, proactively resolving issues and responding to critical alerts as needed.
- Document processes, maintain operational procedures, and provide diagrams and flowcharts for configuration, deployment, and maintenance activities.
- Lead and mentor technical teams, improving operational practices and advancing infrastructure expertise.
- Support backup, recovery, patching, migrations, and other operational activities to ensure business continuity.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in IT infrastructure or related roles with similar scope and responsibility.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Expert-level knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure, and AWS operations and services.
- Hands-on experience in automation, scripting, and enterprise system integration.
- Strong knowledge of device, identity, and access management (Intune, Entra ID, etc.) across Windows, macOS, and mobile platforms.
- Solid understanding of IT service management, change control, and operational continuity.
- Expertise in networking, including DNS, VPNs, WAF, and cloud networking (EC2, VPC, Transit Gateway, S3, CloudFront).
- Experience designing and maintaining secure, high-performing infrastructure in complex environments.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently and across distributed teams.
