In this role, you will serve as a technical lead supporting a distributed field technician team while driving initiatives to enhance IT operations across retail and field environments. You will play a key role in mentoring new technicians, auditing market technology, and ensuring the seamless performance of infrastructure systems. Collaborating with network engineering, system administration, and information security teams, you’ll help improve support processes and lead key technology projects. This position is ideal for a skilled and adaptable professional who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, leading by example, and improving operational efficiency in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.

Accountabilities:

  • Provide advanced technical support to field teams, resolving escalated IT issues efficiently.
  • Lead and participate in IT projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams such as Network Engineering, NOC, and InfoSec.
  • Mentor and train new technicians while supporting the ongoing technical development of existing staff.
  • Conduct store visits and technology audits to ensure consistent implementation and compliance with standards.
  • Manage and maintain inventory of IT equipment across retail locations and vehicles.
  • Develop and update technical documentation, workflows, and procedures.
  • Analyze support reports to identify recurring issues and recommend process improvements.
  • Participate in candidate interviews and contribute to team growth and technical excellence.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; 3+ years of verifiable technology support experience.
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills with excellent customer service orientation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft operating systems and Active Directory management.
  • Advanced understanding of firewall and routing technologies, DNS, and the OSI model.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and perform under pressure.
  • Willingness to travel up to 80% for field and retail support.
  • Preferred: Two- or four-year degree, relevant IT certifications, and knowledge of ITIL principles.
