We are looking for skilled IT Support Services freelancers based in the UK to join us and help deliver exceptional service. Key Responsibilities Deliver top-notch first and second-line support to clients via phone, email, and remote access Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across various hardware and software systems Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT equipment and applications Document all support interactions for accurate record-keeping and future reference Implement preventative measures to reduce downtime and enhance user experience Stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in IT support Provide training and support to clients to maximize their use of technology Monitor, identify, and escalate potential cybersecurity threats or vulnerabilities, ensuring timely response and mitigation Assist with implementing cybersecurity best practices, including patch management, endpoint protection, MFA configuration, and access control Support security compliance by maintaining secure configurations, reporting incidents, and following established cybersecurity policies Proven experience as an IT Support Specialist or a related role Strong understanding of hardware, software, and network troubleshooting Excellent customer service skills with a patient and approachable demeanor Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote work setting Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Familiarity with remote support tools and technologies Knowledge of various operating systems, such as Windows, macOS, and Linux IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft certifications) are a plus Proficiency in documenting support requests and technical issues Must be based in the UK and ready to work as a freelancer Additional experience in cloud services and applications is advantageous Availability for flexible working hours as per client needs Hands on experience in cybersecurity, including exposure to threat analysis, vulnerability assessment, incident response, and security best practices. Experience working with common security tools (e.g., SIEM, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection) and frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001) is highly preferred. You will be working as a contractor under the JamPot Support Limited company name, therefore you are not a direct employee and only work as a contractor for our business. The benefit of this structure means, all of our clients sign contracts directly with JamPot Support Limited and not you as the Contractor, therefore you are protected as a remote contractor as JamPot take care of the client service side of the function. We are currently undertaking market research to determine the pay offered for this role and will talk with you openly around your personal earning experience and expectations. This will enable us to work with our client to ensure a fair renumeration is agreed for both parties.
