Job Description

Are you a student in the construction field looking for an internship in Belgium? We have great news for you! BESIX is continuously looking for motivated interns who are passionate about working on large and complex projects.

During your on-site internship, you will have the opportunity to assist a Technical Office Engineer or Site Superintendent in his/her daily missions. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn about your future profession in a welcoming and supportive environment.

Your missions:

• Participate in defining and developing schedules and work execution methods;
• Organize and coordinate the daily execution of works and manage workers;
• Follow up with subcontractors (planning, progress statuses, financial follow-up) and suppliers (orders and deliveries of materials, logistics, financial follow-up);
• Proactively participate in site meetings;
• Keep records of the construction project; 
• Ensure the quality of work execution and safety on site.

Qualifications

What if you became the next key talent at BESIX?

• You are pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil or industrial construction engineering, architectural engineering, or electromechanical engineering.
• You are interested in completing an internship at one of our sites in Belgium (buildings, civil works, maritime works);
• Your internship period should last at least 4 full weeks (preferably 6 full weeks or more). Please mention your internship period with your application;
• You speak Dutch/French and you have good knowledge of English;
• You are analytical, autonomous and driven;
• You are communicative, you like to take initiative and you are a real team player;
• You are flexible and proactive when facing problems and challenges.
