Inviting applications for the role of Insurance_Reporting Manager_Assistant Manager_English_Hybrid Lisbon!
Responsibilities
•    Regularly post business transactions and manage month, quarter, and year-end activities.
•    Participate in audit requests and support accounts payable, assets accounting, and treasury areas.
•    Perform accounts, banks, systems, and intercompany reconciliations.
•    Assist in producing financial monthly reports and liaise with internal and external parties to meet deadlines.
•    Ensure compliance with regulatory, tax, corporate, and other requirements.
•    Analyze and prepare management information reports as needed.
•    Support the country finance manager and ensure accuracy in accounting postings.
•    Resolve stakeholder queries via email or phone.
•    Create and update processes and internal documentation regularly.
•    Participate in continuous improvement projects and support standardization/automation of European procedures.
•    Deliver exceptional service standards and maintain updated data.
•    Communicate company vision and team mission, supporting daily application.
•    Train and coach the team, focusing on personal development and career planning while recognizing good performance.
•    Manage relationships with key stakeholders and teams, ensuring transparent communication.
•    Foster a customer-centric mindset within the team.

Qualifications we seek in you!
Minimum Qualifications
•    Qualified accountant with IFRS experience and an accounting background.
•    Experience in team management.
•    Ability to work in a matrix environment; flexibility in working hours may be required.
•    Fluent in English. 
•    Capable of working across geographical lines daily from stakeholders and team perspectives.
•    Excellent accuracy and attention to detail; able to produce high-quality output under pressure.
•    Strong analytical skills and results-driven attitude.
•    Creative, proactive, logical, and innovative mindset with a can-do attitude.
•    Critical thinking skills to interpret analysis results and communicate key information effectively.
•    Strong interpersonal skills for building relationships within and outside the finance team.
•    Experience in a multinational, multilingual office environment.
•    Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and ERP systems; Oracle knowledge is advantageous.
•    Knowledge of non-life insurance accounting, particularly P&L and balance sheet production, is a plus.
•    Good communication skills with the ability to initiate process change and improvement.
•    Proactive approach to achieving goals and objectives.
