Role Summary The Indirect Buyer is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring non-production goods and services that support business operations. This role ensures cost-effective purchasing while maintaining quality, compliance, and supplier performance across categories such as facilities, IT, professional services, marketing, logistics, and R&D. Key Responsibilities Sourcing & Procurement Manage end-to-end procurement activities for indirect spend categories. Prepare and issue RFQs; analyze bids and recommend optimal suppliers. Negotiate contract terms, pricing, service-level agreements (SLAs), and payment terms. Execute purchase orders and maintain accurate documentation from creation to final payment. Track orders, coordinate deliveries, and resolve any discrepancies or delays to ensure timely receipt of goods and services. Supplier Management Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships. Monitor supplier performance against KPIs (quality, delivery, cost, responsiveness). Resolve supplier issues and facilitate corrective actions when necessary. Support supplier onboarding and qualification processes. Cost & Process Optimization Drive cost reduction initiatives and value-engineering opportunities. Analyze spend data to identify savings opportunities and purchasing trends. Improve procurement processes, standardization, and category strategies. Cross-Functional Support Collaborate with departments such as R&D, Finance, IT, HR, Facilities, and Operations to clarify requirements and support purchasing needs. Ensure compliance with internal procurement policies and external regulations. Support budgeting and forecasting activities for indirect spend. Risk & Compliance Ensure procurement activities align with corporate policies and sustainability goals. Mitigate risks by ensuring business continuity through robust supplier management. Assist with contract drafting, reviewing, and maintaining compliance records. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, or equivalent 2–5 years of procurement or sourcing experience (indirect purchasing preferred) Strong negotiation and analytical skills Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving abilities Key Competencies Strategic sourcing mindset Cost awareness and financial acumen Supplier relationship management Attention to detail Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities Strong organizational and interpersonal skills Computer Proficiency Excel Word ERP (ODOO is a plus)
