Alaya.bio is a preclinical-stage biotech company pioneering a new generation of polymeric nanoparticles applied to the rapid and universal in situ manufacturing of CAR T-cells. Founded in July 2022 and based in Paris and Cambridge, Alaya.bio is backed by industry leaders and investors with long track-records in cell therapy. The potential of our universal in situ CAR T technology has been recognized by the closing of five partnerships with renowned players in the clinical development of these groundbreaking therapies. As part of our continuous growth, we are looking for a highly enthusiastic and talented Immunologist (Associate Scientist or Scientist level) to join our R&D team. This role is focused on the development of primary cell based-assays for the functional evaluation of our polymeric nanoparticles. The position is located in Paris area. Key Responsabilities Design, plan and execute in vitro assays on primary cells for the characterization of the gene delivery efficiency of polymeric nanoparticles, in close collaboration with our Cell Biology Senior Scientist. Perform multiparametric flow cytometry analyses for in vitro and in vivo studies. Perform a variety of cellular assays & molecular assays (e.g. multiplex cytokine assays, cytotoxicity assays, ELISA, qPCR, preparation/purification of DNA and RNA). Culture human primary cells and cell lines (adherent and in suspension) for transient and stable transgene expression studies. Process and analyze animal blood and tissue samples (single cell suspension preparation from organs, plasma preparation, multiplex cytokine and enzyme assays, nucleic acid extraction and qPCR). Collect, analyze and report data using appropriate software including electronic lab notebook. Support day-to-day laboratory operations, including reagents and consumables purchasing, maintenance of equipment, management of biological, infectious & care activity wastes.
