The company Deutsche Telekom Technik GmbH is a 100 percent subsidiary of Telekom Deutschland GmbH and provides the nationwide technical infrastructure of the group. Around 19,000 employees at DT Technik plan, design, build and operate the facilities and systems of the technical infrastructure nationwide on behalf of Telekom Deutschland GmbH. The company implements network projects, operates the network technology and, if necessary, takes over the maintenance of the technical infrastructure.

The Tribe Voice & Messaging is responsible for the design, development, planning, validation and operation of all voice and messaging platforms in DT Technik's fixed and mobile network over their entire lifecycle. We provide innovative, reliable state-of-the-art services to our cellular- and landline-based customers.

The scope of a current program is to bring voice & messaging applications into the cloud. We’ll change the today’s model of separated fixed and mobile systems and merge them. That’s why we want you on our team.

Activity description and concrete tasks:

The Squad NIMS Core / HSS-FE, as part of Tribe Voice & Messaging, is responsible for the complete lifecycle of DT Technik IMS HSS Frontend platforms, enabling and maintaining connectivity between IMS nodes and backend subscriber databases. The Squad uses agile tools and methods as a DevOps team, and is responsible for the design, engineering, development, deployment, and operation of the HSS-FE in close cooperation with the system vendor. One of the next big challenges for the team is to build up a new OneHSS platform based on DT Technik’s CaaS Kubernetes platform as part of DT Technik’s Cloud Booster Program. To accompany us on this challenging journey, we are looking for a committed and motivated colleague to strengthen our team.

Qualifications

Skill Requirements:

  • understanding of telecommunications protocols: SIP, Diameter, LDAP
  • automation and CI/CD: GitLab CI, AWX, TF
  • programming languages: Python, Bash, YAML/JSON
  • knowledge of cloud-native technologies (containers, Kubernetes, Helm)
  • monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding German would be helpful (optional)
  • Experience with AI/ML integration in telecommunications or real-time speech processing systems
  • Knowledge of Deutsche Telekom's CaaS Kubernetes platform or similar proprietary cloud solutions
