Volt Raceway is seeking an organized, people-oriented HR & Health and Safety Administrator to support the smooth operation of our entertainment complex. This position is critical in overseeing core human resources functions, while ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. The ideal candidate is approachable, detail-driven, and thrives in a setting where no two days are the same. Key Responsibilities: Human Resources Operations · Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records. · Ensure HR policies and procedures are followed; support updates and communication of changes as needed. · Partner with multiple managers to verify hours worked and assist with payroll related questions. · Partner with the Manager to verify hours worked and assist with payroll processing. · Serve as the first point of contact for employee and management HR inquiries. Health & Safety Compliance · Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and workplace standards. · Train new hires and managers on safety policies and supervisory responsibilities. · Conduct regular safety checks and maintain documentation. · Administer and complete WSIB forms and reporting as required. Recruitment & Onboarding · Support the full recruitment cycle: job postings, resume screening, interview scheduling, and candidate communication. · Coordinate onboarding for new hires, including orientation materials, training schedules, and system setup. · Manage offboarding processes, including exit interviews, final paperwork, and system access removal. · Track probation periods and follow up with managers on performance reviews and status changes. Employee Engagement & Support · Organize employee engagement initiatives, team-building activities, and seasonal events. · Foster a fun, inclusive, and respectful workplace culture that reflects Volt Raceway’s brand. · Support conflict resolution and coach managers on handling sensitive employee issues. Requirements · Post-secondary education in Human Resources or a related field. · 1–3 years of experience in a Human Resources role. · Familiarity with workplace health and safety legislation and WSIB administration. · Excellent verbal and written communication skills. · Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). · Experience in the entertainment, retail, or hospitality sector is an asset. Desired Skills: · Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities. · Comfortable working with office management tools and HR software. · Discreet and trustworthy with confidential or sensitive information. · Effective problem-solving and organizational skills.
