We are seeking an outstanding, trustworthy individual to fill the full-time position of Housekeeper - Private Residences.
This position is responsible for providing excellence in property cleanliness, service, organization, and presentation across personal residential properties located in the HRM and South Shore.

Duties and Responsibilities
The Housekeeper - Private Residences is responsible for interior and exterior cleaning of the properties, with duties including:
- Cleaning common areas, hallways, bedrooms, washrooms, stairways
- Cleaning rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies
- Sorting clothing and other articles, loading washing machines, folding dried items, ironing, and properly putting away laundry
- Dropping off and picking up dry cleaning
- Washing windows, walls, ceilings, and woodwork, waxing and polishing as necessary
- Cleaning and maintaining appliances and other household equipment
- Keeping exterior areas neat and free of debris
- Emptying wastebaskets and moving trash and waste to disposal areas
- Dusting and polishing furniture and equipment
- Running errands and picking up groceries
- Stocking and organizing pantries and cupboards
- Ensuring all entertaining and gathering areas are cleaned on a regular basis
- Turning over guest suites between visitors
- Ensuring properties are maintained to top cleanliness standards
- Handling other one-off housekeeping duties as they arise

Position Requirements
- Excellent judgment, discretion, trustworthiness, and respect for confidentiality
- 5+ years housekeeping experience
- Ability to perform assigned duties maturely and confidently without supervision
- Exceptional ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and effectively manage timelines
- Ability to perform with tact and professionalism
- Strong initiative with the ability to anticipate needs, quickly and effectively
- Flexibility to work outside of strict job description
- Flexibility in working hours and location, working weekends when required (with days off shifted to weekdays)
- Strong ability to adjust and adapt to changing demands and situations
- Strong attention to detail
Travel within Nova Scotia is a requirement - must have a valid driver's license.
The successful candidate will be subject to applicable pre-employment testing, including Criminal Records check and a Drivers Abstract checks.
