Great Blue Heron Casino & Hotel is seeking a Part-time Housekeeper! Reporting to the Housekeeping Supervisor, the Housekeeper is responsible for ensuring professional aesthetic and presentation of all areas at the Casino. The ideal candidate is an energetic professional with proven knowledge, skills and abilities, executing the following in support of the company’s vision, mission and values: Excellent internal and external customer service skills are required to be displayed at all times Maintain a physical presence throughout the Casino to ensure areas are kept clean, fully stocked and free of debris Vacuum, sweep, scrub, mop, and wax floors as required or as scheduled Safeguard all confidential information and to exercise due care to prevent its improper disclosure or use Maintain the Casino in a manner which reduces slips, trips and fall hazards Ensure all supplies are being used in a proper manner Ensure all housekeeping equipment is functioning properly and report any malfunctions to the Housekeeping Supervisor immediately Maintain a good public relations with patrons and employees Other duties may be assigned by the Housekeeping Supervisor or Facilities Manager Successful applicants will demonstrate the following qualifications: Minimum one year of cleaning experience in a commercial environment preferred Dedicated to optimal customer service Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Specific knowledge of floor care, commercial cleaning products, WHMIS Strong time management and ability to prioritize tasks Ability to maintain confidentiality Self-motivated and able to work in a team environment and/or independently Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Ability to perform tasks and duties effectively and safely within prescribed time limits The ability to successfully pass a criminal record and credit check through the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) Candidates must be ready and willing to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays and overnights.
