Helper II - Insulator

Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring a Helper II – Insulator on a permanent full-time basis on our Mechanical team at the Co-op Refinery Complex.

This position requires on-site work and is based in Regina, SK.

What you’ll do:

• The key role of this position is to efficiently carry out duties in the Insulating Trade Section of the Mechanical Department at a helper level of responsibility.
• Insulator duties include, but are not limited to, the installation, removal, and repair of insulating materials that are used throughout the Complex.
• Other duties as required.

Who you’ll work with:

The Team: You will work closely with a team of Journeyperson Insulators within the Insulator trade shop. This team strives to cultivate a culture of safety, efficiency, predictability, and engagement.

The Collaborators: You will work closely with other functions in our Maintenance Execution business unit and collaborate across the organization with teams such as Coordination, Planning, Reliability, Turnaround and Process Operations.

Who you are:

You are looking for a career in Production, Trades and Maintenance and:

• Candidates must follow the CCRL “Work-Safe” Approach. Completion of Grade XII including Chemistry 30, Physics 30, and Math/Algebra 30 is required. If the candidate is missing one of these three classes, the application will be accepted provided the missing class is completed within a prescribed time period.
• Applications from candidates who do not possess technical qualifications (ex. education, tickets) required for the position as of the closing date of application will not be accepted.
• Candidates must have a superior mechanical aptitude with demonstrated physical adaptability for work of the Insulating Trade, together with a good record in performance of semi-skilled maintenance work.
• The person appointed to this position will be required to undertake the applicable trades training courses to qualify for advancement.
