Who are we?
Sabadell Zurich is a joint venture created in 2008 as a result of a business agreement between Banc Sabadell, one of Spain’s leading banks, and Zurich Group, a global leader in the insurance industry to distribute insurance products through banking channels.
The joint venture is made up of three companies: BanSabadell Vida, BanSabadell Pensiones, and BanSabadell Seguros Generales, each owned 50% by both partners.
The Sabadell Zurich team is composed of 350 employees, who are organizationally part of the Zurich Group in Spain and located in Barcelona.
Your Role & Responsibilities
As the Head of Audit, Spain SaZ you will be required to fulfil duties associated with key function holder (KFH) under applicable regulation for the Life, Pensions and P&C Companies of Sabadell Zurich.
You will be responsible for audit activities, reporting line to the Audit Committee and the Regional Audit Lead, in addition to a matrix report to the CEO. This ensures that you can fully engage with, and contribute to, the strategic actions and plans of the local Senior Leadership Team.
In this role, you will be expected to use and co-develop leading audit practices to continuously improve the SaZ risk-based dynamic audit plan and be accountable for the high-quality delivery of this plan. You will positively influence the business risk and control environment, through a combination of reporting at the Board Audit Committee, Risk & Control Committees, Executive Committee and any other key management fora, as well as developing strong working relationships with the Board, CEO, Executives and Senior Management. The need to build an open and constructive relationship with the regulators is evident.
As a senior manager in Group Audit, you will also implement and drive strategic priorities, and co-create a leading audit function utilizing Data Analytics, AI and Agile methods. You will be expected to role model and deliver. Importantly, you will be fostering a positive culture and driving an environment of continuous growth, where the team always feels connected to our purpose and becomes a recognized leader in the market.
