The Role: Group Internal Auditor Salary: £40-50k Basic + Bonus Location: Champion House, Derby Contract Type: Permanent Hours and shift pattern: 37.5 hours per week, Mon-Fri. What will you be getting up to? Internal Audit: Role & Responsibilities 1. Execution of internal audit procedures in line with group methodology 2. Support with the internal audit plan for annual delivery 3. As required, review and provide 3rd line review of financial and operational data to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable standards 4. Coordinate with co-source auditors and oversee the co-source engagements as required 5. Monitor and report on the implementation of management agreed actions resulting from audit reports 6. Stay updated on regulatory changes and best practices in internal audit 7. Prepare and present internal audit reports to the CFO and Audit Committee. 8. Support with ESG requirements 9. Collaborate with relevant stakeholders and risk owners to develop risk management strategies and action plans. 10. Conduct risk assessments and reviews to ensure compliance with regulations and internal policies. 11. Monitor and report on key risk indicators and trends 12. Prepare and present risk management reports to the CFO and Audit Committee 13. Facilitate the quarterly running of the internal risk and compliance committee. What do we need from you? Essential: Part or fully qualified: IIA, ACA, ACCA or CIMA (or equivalent), qualified by experience will also be considered Experienced in delivering and executing audits, either internal audit or external audit Confident presenter to senior audiences (e.g. CFO, Audit Committee) Understanding of internal audit methodologies and risk management frameworks Knowledge of financial and operational controls, and relevant regulatory frameworks Strong communication and report writing skills Desirable: Experience working with or managing co-sourced audit arrangements Exposure to ESG reporting and compliance frameworks Experience facilitating or participating in risk and compliance committees Familiarity with ESG standards and reporting requirements Understanding of data analytics in audit and risk monitoring What is in it for you?
