Under the direction of the Assessment of Need Manager, the Liaison Officer will be responsible for the processes and duties assigned to him/her within the Regional Assessment of Need Team. The post holder will:
· Ensure HSE compliance with the Disability Act 2005 and subsequent regulations, by providing and reviewing Service Statements in line with the act.
· Manage and support the delivery of the Assessment of Need process, as required.
· Contribute to the development of processes and procedures to ensure timely, efficient delivery of Regional AON services.
· Cooperate with and contribute to service improvement in areas related to the post, as required.
· Liaison Officers may be involved in the planning, arranging and subsequent co-ordination of services using individually tailored care plans, having a person-centred approach and a multi-disciplinary focus, subject to statutory and service demands.
