Fund Finance - AI Training Project

You will be helping to improve AI for finance by bringing real private equity and venture capital fund finance experience into an Excel-based research project. The work focuses on how PE and VC teams use Excel for portfolio monitoring and fund reporting, and turns those workflows into training data to improve AI for finance. What We’re Looking For Minimum of 3 years’ experience in: Private equity or venture capital fund finance, fund administration, or fund operations Managing portfolio company reporting and fund-level data, primarily in Excel Strong Excel proficiency applied in a PE/VC context. High attention to detail and clear written communication in English No prior AI experience required Key Responsibilities Build and refine fund and portfolio models in Excel Complete or extend partially built portfolio monitoring tools and fund models Design end-to-end models that reflect actual PE/VC funds and reporting needs Work directly with an Excel-focused AI agent Draft realistic prompts and scenarios using the language and instructions a PE/VC fund finance professional would naturally use in Excel (for example, consolidating quarterly portfolio KPIs into a fund-level view, modelling fund flows) Compare a 'golden' version of the expected output and compare it to what the AI agent generates Identify mistakes, missing logic, poor structuring, or subtle quality issues and explain clearly what a good answer should look like Document findings and feedback to help improve how the AI agent handles real private markets use cases What We Offer Competitive hourly compensation, aligned with experience with weekly payments Flexible, remote work that can sit alongside an existing role Opportunity to directly influence how AI supports fund reporting in Excel Selection Process Application review (CV) Short AI interview Brief follow-up conversation with the team
